The 2nd Annual Stratford High School Chili Supper took place Thursday night in the cafeteria at Nashville’s Stratford High School. Head Football Coach Maurice Fitzgerald hosted the event used as a fund-raiser to support the football team. Last year’s event raised around 2500.00 according to Fitzgerald. On hand were alumni, boosters and current members of the Spartans football team.

This year Fitzgerald and Basketball coach Romy Reed recognized previous football players who had rushed  for 1,000 yards in a season during their playing days at Stratford. Fitgerald said, “There probably isn’t a school in Metro with more 1,000 yard rushers than Statford.”
