The Nashville Predators spotted the St. Louis Blues three goals before rattling off six unanswered goals of their own to defeat the division rivals 6-3 at Bridgestone Arena before an anxious crowd of 17, 113.
St. Louis got tallies from Kevin Shattenkirk, Ryan Reaves, and Brad Hunt to lead 3-0 with 18:11 left in the 2nd period. But the Predators chipped away, with James Neal getting things started for Nashville with a goal getting by Blues netminder Jake Allen 4:07 into the 2nd and Filip Forsberg picked up his third goal of the season with a wicked wrister past Allen 6:22 into the frame to make it 3-2 St. Louis after 2.
The Predators continued their comeback in the 3rd with Ryan Johansen tying things up 3-3 with 16:56 left in the game. Predators captain Mike Fisher put Nashville up for good netting a sweet saucer pass from Colin Wilson past Allen to make it 4-3 and Mike Ribero chipped one in just 1;30 later to make it 5-3 and chase Jake Allen from the net as former Predators back-up Carter Hutton came in to finish the game. Mike Fisher was able to add an empty-netter late for the 6-3 final.
The Predators next face Ryan Suter and the Minnesota Wild on Thurday at Bridgestone.
