Belmont –

The Belmont Men’s XCountry Team finished 5th out of 15 teams ,while the women’s team finished 8th out of 17 teams at the Commodore Classic run Saturday at the Vaughn’s Gap Course at Percy Warner Park here in Nashville.

The Men’s Soccer (3-1-2, 1-1) team captured a conference win with a 2-1 win over Milwaukee on Saturday at Rose Park.

The Women’s Soccer (5-3-1, 1-1) lost 3-2 to SIU Edwardsville on Friday then came home Sunday to win 3-2 over Austin Peay at Rose Park.

Lipscomb –

The Men’s XCountry team finished 3rd and the Women’s XCountry team ran 5th at the Commodore Classic

The Men’s Soccer (4-2) won 3-2 at San Diego.

The Women’s Soccer (3-5-2) lost 2-0 to Kentucky and won 4-0 over Alabama State.

The Volleyball (6-6)  team got back on the winning track as they went to Gainesville, Fl for the Gator Invite. They beat Northern KY 3-0 and also swept Florida A&M 3-0 before falling to the #3 ranked Florida Gators 3-1.

TSU –

The Tiger Football team improved to 3-0 with a 24-13 win over FAMU in the Tampa Classic.

The Women’s Tennis team captured the HBCU Invitational.

The Men’s Cross Country team finished 7th of 8 and the women finished 6th of 9 in the Asics Classic.

The Volleyball team (4-9) dropped 3 games at Missouri State, losing 3-0 to Washington St., 3-0 to Illinois , and 3-0 to Missouri State.

Vanderbilt –

The Vanderbilt football team knocked off #18 ranked Kansas State 14-7 on Saturday to go 3-0 on the young season.

The Men’s XCountry team finished 11th of 15 and the Women’s team got 2nd out of 17 teams at the Commodore Classic.

The Men’s Golf team finished 3rd out of 12 at the Rod Meyers Invitational in Durham, NC, while the women finished 4th out of 15 at the Mason Rudolph Championship hosted by Vanderbilt at the Legends Course in Franklin.

The Women’s Soccer (6-3, 1-0) picked up a big SEC road with a 1-0 win at LSU on Sunday,
